DOILY PAPER

I love Doily papers. The are classic and cheap. I made the card below using all the possible raw material from my craft box. I splattered the white card using Revees watercolour.

Materials:
Card stocks, Doily paper, maroon feathers, epoxy brad (from Japanese store), Reeves watercolour, brush no. 3, craft knife, scissors, glue and double sided tape. All the materials are from local stationary shops.

Initially, I decided to glue the orange polka dotted rose and the leaf on the splattered white card. However, it was too plain and I went back to my craft box looked for a base for the rose. I found Doily papers.
I used cut & paste technique on Doily paper as below.

1. Cut out the pattern using craft knife. Keep both pattern and the middle portion of the paper

2. Cut across the pattern using scissors

3. Re-introduce back the pattern to the middle portion by wrapping around .

4. Flip over to check and continue pasting the same pattern of another
Doily paper to obtain complete wrap around Doily.
Beautiful Doily paper is ready to use.
I stopped at the step (shown in the pictue) as I only need half of it.

Option: can also wrap around other shapes using the same technique.

Happy crafting
